Across Europe, National STEM platforms are working on better Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) education. These platforms joined forces in the EU STEM Coalition to shape STEM education policies and practices that foster economic growth, opportunity and well-being for all.

Together with policy makers, education providers and industry, the EU STEM Coalition works on promoting new ways of delivering education and finding and sharing evidence-based solutions to skills mismatch in STEM. From reducing shortages of STEM skilled people to fostering new ways in which educational institutions, companies and governments can cooperate, the EU STEM coalition provides a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, best-practice sharing and direct support. On the Coalition's website, you can browse through successful national programs and interventions, publications and direct support to set up and implement national and regional STEM education and labour market strategies.

The European Commission actively supports and funds the upscaling of the EU STEM Coalition network and its activities. The EU STEM Coalition was included in the objectives of the Communication on a Renewed EU Agenda for Higher Education (2017), the Digital Education Action Plan (2020) and the Communication on Achieving the European Education Area by 2025. Since the secretariat of both Katapult.eu and the EU STEM Coalition are managed by the Dutch national STEM platform (PTvT) they work closely together, sharing knowledge and best practices to align concrete actions with European policies and vice versa.
