About the Forum on Vocational Excellence
It is important to continue to raise awareness and encourage VET providers and stakeholders in different countries to pursue a model of collaborative work that places VET institutions as drivers of skills ecosystems at regional level, working and cooperating for this purpose with relevant local partners and providing comprehensive responses to current and future skill needs.
On 25 and 26 September the 2023 Forum on Vocational Excellence will take place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Forum will discuss the latest developments on the European initiative on Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE).
During the second Forum on Vocational Excellence, professionals working on vocational excellence will exchange best practices, co-create solutions for common challenges and will expand their network to ensure that Europe’s workforce is ready and has the right skills to meet our societal great challenges head on.
The event is jointly organised by the Community of Practice on CoVEs, Katapult and Tknika, in cooperation with the European Commission. It will include the participation of the partners of ongoing CoVE projects, as well as other vocational excellence initiatives currently being developed in Europe and beyond, that form part of wider partnerships and networks in VET.
The event will also benefit from high level political representatives, including national governments (from both EU and partner countries), social partners and their European level representatives, VET provider associations, regional authorities, International organisations, as well as European institutions and Agencies.
The event will be an opportunity to mobilise the participation of different VET centres and relevant stakeholders, to reach the European target of establishing at least 100 networks of vocational excellence by 2027.
