Leidse Instrumentmakers School
At the Leidse Instrument Makers School, you can experience an institution being a long-standing example of Public-Private cooperation while being at the forefront of scientific and mechanical education for over 120 years. Founded by the renowned physicist and Nobel laureate H. Kamerlingh Onnes, the school has expanded their education portfolio from mechanical-instrument making & glassblowing, to modern MBO specialisations in metal, laser tech and mechatronics. Their location in the Leiden Bio Science Park is ideally suited to research closely with laboratories and companies.
Thanks to this close proximity, the school forms part of the LiS TOP PPP: with help from partners in the Life Sciences & Health top sector, the LiS Academy and LiS Engineering departments manifest themselves strongly in the field of medical precision technology.
